when you're short on equipment you have to get creative. i'm having a hard time finding a simple flat bench with no gadgets or unwanted adjustments. in the meantime i'll continue to find other ways to maintain strength in that area. no desire to gain any but maintenance of around 1.5 x bw for 1rm is a goal. the second goal for today was to loosen up the legs after yesterdays heavy squats and the short sprint has been effective for me in the past.

it's pretty obvious where the fatige set in. it all began during round six and started with the clapping pushups. during rounds seven and eight explosiveness began to fade and following up with the standard pushups became more and more of a challenge. finished up with nothing broken but my goal of holding on to sub 30 for all 10 rounds wasn't possible today. by the end even the ring pushups took complete focus.

the run pace was maintaned throughout and that doesn't surprise me. a little over a minute is more than enough time to fully replenish from such a short burst. turnaround time at the 25m mark may have slowed but not by much.

i need to get to the track. haven't made it yet this year and there's no excuse. the weather has been perfect (other than the 40mph wind today) and i'm ready to start working on speed.
