not the improvement i was looking for vs last time. 14:52 back on jan. 16th as the last event of "the shop" winter games. due to being fresh and the only effort of the day, i had anticipated a sub 12:00 time. last time it was the power cleans that really slowed me down and even though i reduced my time on that portion from 3:45 to 2:05 my time only went down by :55. overall stamina seemed to be what was holding me back, i felt stronger but not faster. it was harder to breath and recovery between movements wasn't as quick. in short, i simply spent more time resting. nutrition had been near perfect for 3 weeks before the winter games whereas this time around i had only gone 5 days. the other possible factor has to be a general lack of high speed efforts and training. if i want to go fast getting stronger is only 25% of the equation. i've got to focus on recovery, nutrition, and speed as well.
