still working the squat clean. i will always be working the squat clean. the subtle nuances of that lift continue to amaze me. as soon as i get a better grasp on what i think to be the last piece of the puzzle, i realize there's more. one step closer after today. the "ping pong" analogy (thanks chris) and video analysis helped a lot today.

guess which round i went unbroken on the double unders??? that movement still taunts me and probably will for sometime. i don't have the technique down and am sure my efficiency level is around a 3/10. BUT, even though it's one of my main weaknesses, i still like the movement. when combined with one of my strengths today's effort worked quite well. a goal would be to continually decrease the allowed recovery time between rounds while increasing the number of consecutive du. although i never quite got to 300lbs back in the day when things like your bench press max mattered (295) i've always been relatively good at it. in many ways i spent all of 2007 trying to balance my upper and lower body strength. surprise surprise, like many others i was "top heavy" and had been training the wrong movements for far too long. now, back to the present, it's time to keep working on double unders. i've got a goal to reach for 2010 that involves them, and i plan to be able to mark it off in the next 6 months.
