i would like to thank John and Megan for spending their time with me this morning. i feel a few steps closer to understanding the way in which to move my body relative to the bar; how, when, and at what rate. the feedback available by the trained eye can give us the ability to remedy mistakes in real time, between lifts. this close watch on the finer points of what can be described as no less than a complex sequence of events would surely get someone on the fast track to competency and the ability to self identify strengths and weaknesses by "feel". at that point video analysis would be working more as support than the primary source of checks and balances. consistant training with or in front of a competant and experienced coach is a luxury that not all may have access to. although more patience will be needed and the timeline will stretch, finding mentors within your training partners, local community, and cyberspace is a wise place to start. it seems as though there are many knowledgable groups or individuals out there if one has the desire to learn and the patience to simultaneously seek them out while being a student of one of the best sources of information available, ourselves.
