quite possibly the most toxic elixir released from this particular lab year to date. the primarily alternating combination of varsity level upper body and lower body bw movements balanced perfectly with the descending front squats. add the perfect recovery domain to the mix and the stars aligned for a memorable cosmic event. so intriguing was the phenomenon that i became hypnotized by effort and lost in a somewhat diluted parallel universe. reaching the final round only to realize that i hadn't maintained focus and had skipped the clapping push ups on an unknown number of rounds was disappointing to say the least. (video analysis revealed the results above) this is something i've warned others about and have rarely found myself guilty of. the ability to maintain composure under stress without forgetting all aspects of the task at hand is a primary objective and underlying theme of my programming style and at or near the top of the hierarchy. this is bound to happen when working alone but that is no excuse. the scenario is not new to me and although it's ideal, one should know better than to rely solely on the mind when racing against your peers, yourself, and the clock. all of these tricks result in higher output, increased results, and an increased level of capability. that being said, the real world application was missed today. regardless of effort and effectiveness, in this instance i would have failed, black and white. next time i'll write the prescription down in plain site with hopes of only making the mistake once, instead of half the time.
