it was good to be back in the place where it all started, training with part of the original crew. it's been long enough that what was the norm is now an event and something far from an ordinary occurance. hopefully the frequency in which i can train with these guys will increase over the winter months.
a missed opportunity on the first round after intentionally resting the last 13 seconds only to remember that the original plan had been changed to add the minute of recovery. the triplet turned out a little less potent than was intended cycling in about 22 seconds. resulting in no more than active rest it may have been more effective to raise the reps to 9-7-5 or modify in some manner to increase difficulty. near complete recovery was obtained before each max effort and although it wasn't bad, it wasn't my intention. either way the scenario proved effective, especially when you factor in the added knowledge from slightly missing the mark with the programming. learn and move on.
