20 minutes of moving nothing but your body through space... the possibilites are truly endless.
the ability to control, coordinate, and move ones own body (and it's associated mass) is the basis for all we do. without a solid foundation in bw movments it's premature to move on to more complex methods at load. furthermore it's ignorant to assume long term gains will be made by doing so. today's effort was meant to remind myself of that which i believe to be true.
i chose the movements and associated rep schemes above in an effort to create a balanced set of work while focusing on some areas i tend to neglect, and others that i don't want to lose efficiency in. as it turns out the box jumps become the only real sticking point. other than a set or two of broken push ups and taking a few extra breaths before tackling the hspu, the other four movements went fairly smooth. i considered the 20" box to increase turn around and minimize rest but decided against it after admitting to myself that even though that would solve a short term problem it wouldn't help in any future work done at the typically prescribed height of 24. standard pull ups are never forgotten but had been on the back burner for too long. sit ups need to be incorporated more often to increase speed within the movement. hspu were added for an increased level of difficulty and to maintain my current abilities when working upside down. push ups are a given bw movement and couldn't be omitted.
