a change in course was initiated after curiosity took over the logic i'd like to think is normally employed. high speed and medium weight front squats coupled with pull ups that i had been neglecting left me in a state of pain as i crawled out of bed this am. a rest day was considered and then i thought i might want to see what the guys at the shop had planned since i would be in the area later in the day. mmmm... heavy back squats, heavier bench press, and double unders. the loads and combination of movements were interesting and intriguing enough that i thought it worth the test. during warm up scaling was considered but the realization that i needed to (and could) complete it rx left me with no choice but to move forward. i attacked the first round up until the double unders. averaging less than 10 per attempt slowed me down. in order to make up time i took off on the set of 8 a little too quickly and surprisingly hit a sticking point on the squats. after finishing the broken set i had another rough time with the du. from this point on however, things went significantly smoother. 60 were done in three attempts followed by 40 and 20 each in 2. approximate round times are as follows: 6. 9. 6. 5. 3. thanks trickle for putting this together and allowing me to go through it alongside you and worlock. always a good time at the shop. see you fellas next week for the triple beat down.
