video from last weekend. a challenging scenario with various barbell movements and multiple opportunities for falling behind or eliminating work faster. the mixture of running and burpees compounded my primary weakness. while the ability to run and maintain intensity within timed efforts continues to elude me others march on, efficiently chewing away at the meters stride by stride
Question 1: Do you always start (and end) your burpees with a clap over head? It may not be pertinent in this workout, but that is one to two seconds of time...and if you start and stop (do sets) and you clap at the beginning of each "set" AND at the end...
Question 2: What made you guys pick 115#? Percentage? If I were to scale it....
i think i'm in the minority here but i start burpees with the clap and end with the push up. the video was cut off during that last set before i did the pushup, making it appear as though i start and end with a clap.
the whole workout was made around 115lbs due to equipment limitations. it's the only set of bumpers all three of us own. originally the plan was to all go at the same time but i forgot a kb so we staggered the start and patrick waited until john and i got thru the first portion before starting. as for scaling i would say you should go to 85-90lbs vs the standard 66%. otherwise, considering relative strength, you won't get anywhere near the same effect as we did.
