after eight days of inactivity following vas #2 , with perceived recovery far ahead of the anticipated timeline, it was time for a preliminary systems check. A balanced variety of tasks testing primarily entry level movements and skills was laid out with a plan of attack that could only be described as cautionary.
although i anticipated smooth sailing it was going to have to be done in the dark due to the unordinarily low level of self knowledge from self-induced minimal activity following “the final countdown”. each repetition was executed with precision yet limited to a relatively casual speed, intentionally holding back on any true intensity. pull ups, pushups, and sit ups caused no reason for alarm while squats, du, and running (jogging) had nerve endings on high alert.
although this effort was done for completion everything is relative and at this point the newfound knowledge of my current abilities (or lack thereof) enables me to categorize the effort as a success. more caution, patience, and extra recovery will be needed before previous capabilities, tactics, and stressors will be introduced and resumed.

more to come…
