i decided against the urge to indulge in leftover thanksgiving treats like i would have liked. instead i decided to work, one more day. even at recovery pace (49:29 vs sub 45) this run was a challenge due to the layout and elevation of the majority of the trail. running across the top of the flint hills with no windbreak was a challenge. i'm not sure what the gusts were but it was enough to push me around and significantly slow forward progress. the main reason for doing this run was to work as much "frankenstein" residual as possible and take advantage of the time to train as it was available. hopefully it helped.
