Funny you should mention it. I just procured two training aids. A 8 foot section of telephone pole, cutting it with a handsaw turned into workout in itself. Second item is a ten foot section of 8 inch wood round stock. The applications for these primitive but useful TOOLs are unlimited. Todays wod 3 rds 10 ghd situps with #10 med ball bounce off wall 15 push ups 5 med ball cleans rest 4 rds 300m sprints rest 3rds With #20 vest #25 dumbell tgu and climb step ladder with db ovhd,5 right / 5 left row 250m
nice. that 8" round stock you mentioned sounds eerily similar to what's shown in this video and the photos from saturday. try some ohs with that thing and let me know what you think. part of the "fun" of these tertiary tools we borrow from mother nature is getting them overhead. awkward, yet rewarding. your third batch of work has my mind racing. other than my unfulfilled desire to own and use a caving ladder i've never considered bringing one into the mix. this will have to be explored. let me know if you're ever headed to the midwest, we need to get together again. the time in jax was too short.

all experiments were deemed a success. the use of these methods will be mixed in from here on out. use and full abuse is to be expected. stay tuned...
